#40 – The Fountain of Filthy Water

I propose that Mormon demonstrates at least a couple of times how Nephi’s prophecy about war and the fountain of filthy water are connected. It seems the river Sidon actually becomes the fountain and why it is filthy is a little morbid but I think Mormon saw this connection and wrote it into the record.

On a side note, I noticed the last two posts have been a little morbid with the artwork and I apologize for that. I’ve just happened to be in parts of the scriptures where things are a little dark—and there are many of those places. It’s not until I generate some of these images with AI that you really get a sense of how dramatic some of these scenes the scriptures describe can be.

But on the plus side, there are so many wonderful depictions of light and goodness that are only made brighter by contrast.
