Mormon Yeshiva

I was speaking recently with Todd McLaughlin, who introduced me to the work of Robert Kay and his YouTube channel and blog “Mormon Yeshiva.”

If you like my content here on oneClimbs about symbolism, you’ll love Robert Kay’s stuff. Here are some of his videos that I found really fun and insightful.

I created oneClimbs as a place to organize my thoughts and share my observations with anyone who might find the information useful. Though I may speak passionately or convincingly in some of this content, PLEASE don't simply take my word alone on anything. Always seek the truth of all things through study and prayer in the name of Jesus Christ.

I’m new to your blog (found it in compiling info on the multitude of temple symbols) – but I’m glad you found Rob Kay! That guy is incredible. He has taught me to see a hundred times more depth in the Book of Mormon than even my most favorite of BYU scriptorial academics. I constantly study scripture with Hebrew lexicons now thanks to him – and I’m just a run-of-the-mill homeschooling mom without any foreign language knowledge.

Hi Tara, thanks for stopping by. There is some more info over at another companion site to this one: https://ldssymbols.com and there is a video I produced called “Reading Temples” that you can see here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zIJhLOwam7I

Yeah, I’m really liking Rob Kay’s stuff, it’s very good.

I found the LDSSymbols site because of your YouTube video, actually! But I never made the connection between those things and this website. I’m glad I stumbled upon it all then, because the information you’ve compiled has been very, very helpful. The LDSSymbols site is like a library unto itself – I’ve actually sent the link to a number of my friends. (And the aesthetic of that site is excellent, and very helpful in teaching my kids about numbers, shapes and the language of symbolism. Well done in designing it!) I know you put the temple video and LDSSymbols site together a while ago, but any chance I can purchase those symbol cards somewhere? Those are absolutely brilliant.

Unfortunately they are no longer available. It was too time-consuming to ship them out one by one.
